I will check it out. Thanks. I always liked that song, and was just the other day thinking about asking people here for good versions. Deadbase says they never played it after '87. Shame.

And, I might add, it is sooooo much better than most of the post-87 new Bobby tunes.

Esau was never one of my favs, but then again, i do not dislike the tune. i'll check a couple of these out.

I agree. I think it's better than Throwing Stones, too, but Stones made the album (In The Dark) while Esau was only a b-side. Weird. They didn't seem to play it very often live, sadly.

I had a tape years ago from Red Rocks---Summer '87 I believe?---where they did a great version of it. It also had Bob doing The Logger Song as well. Sorry...too lazy to try & find a link to it, as I'm sure it's her at LMA.
